First detection of HC3N in protoplanetary disks
The cyanoacetylene (HC3N) is a precursor of the organic molecules. It was observed for the first time in three protoplanetary disks thanks to IRAM 30m and PdBI observations. HC3N is the most complex molecule detected in protoplanetary disk so far (Chapillon et al. 2012 ApJ 756 58C). Figure present the HC3N spectrum (right) in LkCa15. The dust disk of LkCa15 (left) displays a central cavity likely due to a planet.
