Research Interests

[specialty: ultra-high energy cosmic rays and neutrinos, radio pulse observation]
I'm interested in the detection of ultra-high energy (UHE) cosmic rays and neutrinos with energies beyond 10^17 eV, the most energetic particles known in the Universe but which origin remains a mystery. In particular, UHE neutrino is not only the unique messenger at the most energetic regime, but it can test fundamental physics at energies and distances not achievable on the Earth. These UHE particles can be efficiently detected by radio pulses of nanosecond duration generated by their interaction with terrestrial materials which induce particle showers, and we have built antenna arrays in Taiwan and Antarctica to search for them.
Currently I'm working on the BURSTT project, which can do nearly all-sky survey and precise positioning of fast radio bursts, for attaining a better understanding of the mysterious phenomenon.
