研究興趣
My research interests are mainly in device physics and technologies relevant to implementation of the optical/ infrared camera system, including analog IC design for the downstream electronics. I have worked on research of the mid-to-long wavelength infrared (MWIR and LWIR) detectors based on III-V material quantum structures, and development of the associated focal plane array technology. Our main results are improved quantum-dot detectors which is tuned for LWIR band using novel confinement-enhanced quantum dots-in-a-well structures. For the visible to near-infrared detection, I have been devoted to technologies of the silicon CCD/CMOS, HgCdTe and InGaAs based hybrid CMOS. I am also involved in system design including radiometry/photometry, dewar design, optics, sensor characterization, image calibration, detector electronics and readout techniques, etc. Currently, I am working on camera testing and system engineer supporting work for the PFS project, CMOS imager development for the TAOS II project, and IR sensor testing for the SPIROU project.
