研究興趣
My main research interests are in the evolution of galaxy properties and the formation of large-scale structures. Using the kinematic close pairs and optical-selected merging galaxies from DEEP2 redshift survey, I study the redshift evolution of galaxy merger rates and how efficiently the galaxy interaction can trigger the star formation. I also study the linkage between the galaxy properties and their hosting environments, such as galaxy groups and clusters, identified in the PanSTARRS and HSC surveys. The purpose is to understand how the galaxies evolve to what they are in the present day universe and how they are associated with the built-up of the large-scale structures. In addition, I also study the galaxy luminosity/stellar mass evolution up to z ~ 8 using the CFHT/WIRCAM and Spitzer data in GOODS fields, in order to understand when the most massive galaxies form. I am currently involved in the SDSS-IV/MaNGA program, which is an IFU survey for 10,000 nearby galaxies, to study the physical processes that quench the star formation in galaxies.
